What's the time commitment?
Thats up to you to be honest. There are 4 or 5 meetings per year. When the RCMP's notify us of criminal activity in the area, you can spend some extra time looking out for suspicious activity.
What would I be doing?
. There are a few meetings to attend, and when there is a need from the RCMP to look out for suspicious activity you'll be notified what to look for.
What about Patrols?
There is no patrols per se. There is increased vigilance when there is a rash of crime or if the RCMP could use our help locating a suspect.
Will I ever be in Danger?
You should never be in danger. If you are feeling unsafe call the police and get to a safe location. Our job is not to apprehend but to inform the police.
Do Crime Watches Really make a difference?
Did you know in Beaver County there is only 1 police officer for every 1400 residents? There is no way they can be everywhere! Members serve as the "Eyes and Ears" for the police

If you are a witness to a crime you could be called to testify to the evidence you can provide.
